Today I made a tabbouleh salad from some I-dont-know-how-old bulgur wheat i found in the pantry parsley from the garden and some mint that was languising in the fridge about to go off. i'd forgotten how much I enjoy tabbouleh, and i still have a fair bit of bulgur wheat, so I suspect i'll be eating it more often in the near future.
I used to have mint in a container in the garden but it died, so I put a few sprigs from the packet in a vase on the windowsill and hopefully they will sprout, giving me mint over the winter and then maybe transplant outside next spring.

I'm still saving veg and onion peelings, and I'm still chopping and freezing my citrus peels. I have quite a bit of lemon peel now so I need to buy some sugar and make some lemon marmalade, or maybe orange and lemon or lemon and lime marmalade, we'll see.
