Chicken Wings

This is a family favourite, and is a quick and easy tea served with a salad and garlic bread or home made bread. Packs of chicken wings are available at most supermarkets and they make a tasty, if slightly messy meal. You'll need a large roasting pan or dish, big enough to hold all your chicken wings without them lying on top of one another too much.
Some of these ingredients can be bought in larger volumes and a cheaper price if you can find a chinese supermarket or cash and carry.
Put 2 teaspoons of garlic powder in the roasting dish, add a squirt of tomato ketchup (or barbecue sauce if preferred). Add 1tbs of soy sauce, 1tbs Char Sui sauce and 1tbs oyster sauce (both available from Chinese supermarkets or some more enlightened branches of the big 4)and 1Tbs chilli sauce or 1/2 tsp chilli powder if you like your chicken wings spicy. Add about 100ml warm water and stir to mix. Add the chicken wings one at a time, coating both sides. Put in the oven at 180 C. After 30 mins, take out the dish, turn all the wings over, and return to the oven. (This is a good time to add the garlic bread if you are having it as an accompaniment). After a further 15 minutes they are ready to serve. The chicken juices combine with the coating to make a sticky sauce. Enjoy!
I left these chicken wings in the oven a little too long, and they have caught a bit on the tips, but they were very tasty.
You can experiment with the proportions of the above ingredients to make it more to your liking.
